Who We Are
Mission: To advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse and neglect and are involved in the court system.
CASA/GAL of Gallatin County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving vulnerable children in Gallatin County, Montana, since 1986. These children, often involved in the court system due to abuse, neglect, or foster care placement, need a voice and an advocate focused solely on their well-being. CASA/GAL volunteers serve as a consistent and caring presence in these children’s lives, working to ensure they find safe, permanent homes.
What We Do
We recruit, train, and support community volunteers to advocate for children involved in the child welfare system. Our trained advocates:
- Act as the eyes and ears of the court, providing judges with objective perspectives on each child’s case.
- Advocate for the best interests of children, ensuring their needs are met during court proceedings.
- Build trust and resilience by serving as a stable, supportive presence in the child’s life, often the only consistent adult they can rely on.
Through these efforts, CASA/GAL of Gallatin County helps reduce the long-term effects of trauma and works toward a brighter future for the children we serve.
