Who We Are
Montana Afterschool Alliance is a statewide network of key stakeholders who champion for the success of all out-of-school time programs across the state.
- Greater Gallatin United Way was selected to spearhead a state-wide network for out-of-school time. Chosen because of the kidsLINK Afterschool program now serving 1,500 children daily across 28 locations.
- The 3 goals for the alliance are to improve quality, increase access, and increase sustainability of out-of-school-time programs in Montana so all Montana youth may be able to attend high-quality before and after school programs, as well as, weekend and summer programs.
- The MTAA network will be the champion for afterschool at a state level, similar to Dept. of Health and Human Services for early child care and education and the Office of Public Instruction for K-12 school day education.
- Greater Gallatin United Way was awarded a 3-year grant on October 1st, 2014 from the C.S. Mott Foundation, with matching funds from others, to support the Montana Afterschool Alliance. Greater Gallatin United Way now serves as the fiscal agent.
