Verizon employees volunteer at Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
Every now and then I come across a straight to the point article on corporate volunteer programs that I want to share. I feel like this one shows the benefits of corporate volunteer programs and how to start thinking about how you can implement one at your workplace if you don't already have one.
This is the type of employee engagement work that I do with businesses all the time. I can help you identify projects of interest to your team that also fit within your availability and interests. I can help organize projects you can complete on-site or off-site. I can help you organize a supply drive, if getting away from your worksite is difficult. And, I can also help you identify skilled-based volunteer opportunities that you can perform as a group, small teams or individuals. I'd love to meet you for coffee or at your office to discuss options, ideas or just provide some advice. (sylvia@greatergallatinunitedway.org or 406.587.2194)
So, here is a blog post entitled "Incredible Giving Starts Here", from CyberGrants, one of the digital giving platforms we work with on employee giving campaigns. It offers ways to start the conversation about volunteer programs in your workplace.
