You've come to the right place.

Some people already have a connection with an organization because they have a passion for the mission. They've been a donor.  Or perhaps, they've benefited from services.  But, many people don't have a specific agency in mind when they make the decision to volunteer.   They want to help out where the need is greatest.  They have a particular skill to share.  Or maybe, they know they want to work with a specific population or for a specific cause but aren't sure where to turn.  This site is designed to provide you with information and options to help you find a good match for your personal situation.

VolunteerMT.org helps you find:

  • A variety of non-profit agencies ranging in size from small to large. Each agency profile has information on that agency's history, mission, description of the work they do and links to their website and social media so you can learn more about them.
  • Work that involves a variety of causes. You'll find groups that work with children, seniors, animals or other populations.  And, you'll find work in areas of the arts, education, health, housing, the environment, and more.
  • Opportunities that require special skills like accounting or marketing to others that don't require any special training.
  • Assignments that are on-site at the agency, out in the community or there are even virtual options you can work on from home.
  • Commitments that range from one day events or sporadic needs to on-going assignments. You can schedule around your work or "try out" volunteering for an organization to see if it is a good fit.
  • Ways to track your volunteer hours for employers who keep track and/or pay for those hours, for community service requirements or just because you are curious about your impact.

If you didn't find an opportunity that interested you today, please visit the site again.  We're reaching out to the non-profit agencies in the area to increase their participation.  If you register as a user, you can receive emails when new needs are posted.  Or, reach out to me and let me know your interests.  I might be able to help you make a connection.  After all, you've made the decision to be a powerful force for change in your community… a volunteer.  Let's get you to work.
