kidsLINK Afterschool Programs in Bozeman and Belgrade welcome qualified volunteers to join elementary students afterschool as caring, positive adults.

Share a hobby, read a book, play a pick-up game of checkers or basktetball.  You've got something to offer to make a positive difference in the lives of youth in your community, and that's the time you spend with kidsLINK.

Where - Programs across Belgrade and Bozeman elementary schools.  

When - Opportunities Monday-Friday between 3:00pm and 6:00pm, with flexible scheduling based on your availability. 

Frequency - One-time or regular volunteers (daily, weekly, re-occurring)

Eligibility - Must have a valid background check

kidsLINK Out of School programs is a Youth Success initiative of Greater Gallatin United Way.  Providing out-of-schooltime care for children across south west Montana for over 25 years, Greater Gallatin United Way invests in working families.  

Artists in afterschool programs are the magical creators who bring out the best in kids' imaginations, turning ordinary moments into extraordinary adventures. Their ability to inspire young minds with colors, shapes, and stories is nothing short of captivating, cultivating a world where creativity flourishes and confidence soars. With their guidance, children discover the joy of self-expression, painting a brighter future with every stroke of creativity.

**Volunteer Position: Youth Program Artist**

**Position Overview:**
We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers with a passion for art to join our team in inspiring young minds through creative expression. This volunteer opportunity would last 1-2 hours, volunteers are to lead engaging art sessions for small groups of children.

**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct fun and interactive art activities for small groups of children, aged 5-10, for 1-2 hours on a regular basis or for a one time guest appearance!
- Assist in developing and implementing art projects that encourage imagination and self-discovery.
- Foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where children can explore their creativity.
- Help maintain a tidy and organized art space by managing and organizing art supplies.

**Qualifications:**
- A love for working with children and a desire to share the joy of art with them.
- Basic knowledge of various art mediums and a willingness to learn and explore new techniques.
- Good communication skills and the ability to engage positively with children.
