Volunteer: Afterschool Program - Supporting Kids and Families

kidsLINK Afterschool Programs in Bozeman and Belgrade welcome qualified volunteers to join elementary students afterschool as caring, positive adults.

Share a hobby, read a book, play a pick-up game of checkers or basktetball.  You've got something to offer to make a positive difference in the lives of youth in your community, and that's the time you spend with kidsLINK.

Where - Programs across Belgrade and Bozeman elementary schools.  

When - Opportunities Monday-Friday between 3:00pm and 6:00pm, with flexible scheduling based on your availability. 

Frequency - One-time or regular volunteers (daily, weekly, re-occurring)

Eligibility - Must have a valid background check

Purpose of the Position

The Volunteer Office Support position supports the smooth operation of Greater Gallatin United Way by providing essential administrative assistance. This role is integral to maintaining an organized, efficient, and welcoming environment that enables staff and volunteers to focus on achieving the organization’s mission. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

·        Administrative Support 

·        Assist in the preparation and distribution of documents, reports, and correspondence. 

 

Office Coordination

·        Ensure the office is well-stocked and organized by managing supplies and placing orders as needed. 

·        Coordinate schedules, meetings, and calendars for staff and volunteers. 

·        Greet visitors and create a positive first impression of the organization. 

 

Event and Program Support 

·        Help organize and execute logistics for events, workshops, and meetings. 

·        Track volunteer hours and contributions, providing regular updates to the team. 

·        Collaborate with staff to improve administrative processes and systems. 

 

Skills and Qualifications

·        Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. 

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace tools. 

·        Effective verbal and written communication skills. 

·        Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines. 

·        A friendly and approachable demeanor, with a commitment to excellent customer service. 

·        Previous administrative experience is a plus but not required.
