Ticket sellers are responsible for selling tickets for productions, including season subscriptions and individual tickets. Ticket sellers must have strong attention to details and good people skills. Opera performances are in April and October, with a winter musical in February. Ticket sales volunteers need to work the six weeks prior to shows.
Tasks performed include, but are not limited to:
*Sell tickets to walk-in and telephone patrons either on computer or using paper form.
* Help with mailings of brochures, newsletters and tickets.
*Answer and make Opera telephone calls.
*Sell tickets at venue.
*Update database.
*Work regular shift in the office six weeks prior to the performances (hours vary; generally needed between 10-2 M-F)
*Ticket Sales on the days of the performances
Volunteer hours worked go toward a Gift Certificate good towards any Opera performance.
