Do you have a love of social media and connecting with those around you?  We are looking for someone to help us let our community know what we're up to with newsletters, facebook and instagram.  

The Photographer takes pictures of children, class events and community scenes for the children to use as a basis for creating literature and for posting in the classroom setting (i.e. on bulletin boards). As children begin to make meaningful connections between pictures and words, pictures can be used to reinforce the relationship. Children can dictate stories and make books using cut-out pictures for illustrations.

All regular volunteers will need to complete a background check, Health Statement, and have proof of MMR and tDap Immunizations that are required by Child Care Licensing and the Head Start Performance Standards!

AWARE Early Head Start works closely with our local businesses, civic clubs, and local governments to assist with the needs of our Early Head Start or Child Care Partnership Programs. Hospice volunteers provide a variety of direct and indirect support services. Choose a role in which you feel comfortable and fulfilled. A small investment of your time makes a BIG difference in the lives of those you touch. Free training is available. 

MOSS is in need of a caretaker/custodian to help maintain our office so that it remains clean and tidy.

Ideally we would like a time commitment of 1-2 hours per week, on the same day each week. 1-2 hours per month would also be beneficial.

Responsibilities include vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, organizing shelves, and cleaning the bathroom. If you are interested in helping with some but not all of these responsibilities, we are very flexible! 

MOSS's menagerie of Ambassador Animals requires a substantial amount of care. We are looking for individuals who are willing to come to the MOSS office out at our office on the shared Bozeman Fish Technology campus to care for our critters. Volunteers must be willing to handle various reptiles, including corn snakes and a bearded dragon, have good initiative and be reliable. 

We are looking for some community members to join our board. We meet quarterly. We are also a working board. Our community services includes but is not limited to, a Golf Scramble, and Toy distribution. 

Ticket sellers are responsible for selling tickets for productions, including season subscriptions and individual tickets. Ticket sellers must have strong attention to details and good people skills. Opera performances are in April and October, with a winter musical in February.  Ticket sales volunteers need to work the six weeks prior to shows.

Tasks performed include, but are not limited to:

*Sell tickets to walk-in and telephone patrons either on computer or using paper form.

* Help with mailings of brochures, newsletters and tickets.

*Answer and make Opera telephone calls.

*Sell tickets at venue.

*Update database.

*Work regular shift in the office six weeks prior to the performances (hours vary; generally needed between 10-2 M-F)

*Ticket Sales on the days of the performances

The Ticket Sales Coordinator is responsible for organizing, training, and overseeing volunteers to work in the ticket office prior to productions. Opera performances are in April and October. Musical is in February. Ticket coordinator needs to work the six weeks leading up to performances.

*Recruit volunteers to sell tickets in the office before and at the performances.

Fantastic opportunity to work closely with national and local opera artists in creating their character through hair and makeup! Knowledge of stage makeup and hair styles helpful.  Great opportunity to enhance your skills in this exciting arena! These volunteers will work on full rehearsal nights as well as with each performance.

MOSS is in need of IT support for our office.  This would include things such as troubleshooting and solving IT issues, fixing printers, programming office phones, fixing scanners, improving computer speed and efficiency, and any other technical issues that may arise.  

We would like to be able to contact a volunteer when we have an issue to troubleshoot over the phone, or to schedule a time that works for them to come take a look and try to fix it.

Being an AmeriCorps VISTA is about making a tangible difference for communities and individuals dealing with some of our Nation's biggest challenges: poverty, inequity, homelessness, and lack of access to education. Adventures include skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing, hiking, whitewater rafting, painting, throwing pottery and more. And the best part? Making a positive impact in your community. Ushers are responsible for greeting and assisting patrons to their seats, distributing programs, and dealing with problems during performances.

Ushers will have complimentary tickets, being seated by the doors so that they can assist patrons and can be seated when tasks are complete.

Ushers report to Head Usher.

Must be able to greet and converse with patrons, walk safely in dim lighting and up and down stairs.

Monitor exits and entrances during performance.

Opera performances are in May and October, with a winter musical in February.

Work with the coordinator to set-up and maintain hospitality room and greet/assist patrons. You are Intermountain Opera Bozeman for these patrons. Opera performances are in May and October.

Duties include but not limited to:

*Set up tables, music and room

*Set out beverages and food, rearrange and refill as needed

*Take coats before and return after productions

*Arrange seating as needed

*Clean room after performance

*Work with other volunteers

This volunteer is responsible for delivering posters to local sites (list is available) to announce the upcoming opera production or event. This may require some walking or driving to locations. Help Intermountain Opera spread the word about our exciting season of Opera!

The Bozeman Senior Center offers a Foot Clinic on the 3rd & 4th Monday of each month for individuals unable to trim their own toe nails. The service is administered by active or retired volunteer nurses.

The Foot Clinic is offered from 9am-3pm. We offer a morning (8:45am – noon) or afternoon shift 12:45pm – 3:30pm) for nurses. We are also flexible if volunteers are only available for a partial shift. We’d love to have you even just for one shift per month or every other month.

This is a great way to give back to the community.  Please consider volunteering your time and helping our Foot Clinic continue on for years to come!

Athletes in the Bozeman, Belgrade, Three Forks, Manhattan, Ennis, Livingston, Big Timber areas need volunteers to help build their programs. We are looking for passionate volunteers who have the time to dedicate themselves to serve on the Big Sky Area Management Team.

The Area Management Team acts as a 'mini' Board of Directors for a specific geographic area in Montana. Each person on the Area Management Team holds a title and is responsible for various activities that help support athletes, teams and other volunteers participating in Special Olympics Montana in their local community. The Big Sky Area is currenty looking for volunteers to fill the following positions: Area Director, Technology Coordinator, Public Relations Coordinator, and Volunteer Coordinator.

Special Olympics Montana could not exist without the dedication of thousands of Montana citizens.
