Newsletter Editor (click to see all Volunteer opportunities)
Hours: flexible, 10 – 15 hours per month
Term: minimum one-year commitment
Training Period: one newsletter cycle, should have editorial experience, and knowledge of image manipulation tools, MailChimp experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Collect data on intake, therapy, and releases for the month and prepare statistical graphs
- Identify bird status, success stories, events, and articles to include in the next newsletter
- Develop articles on topics related to raptor rescue and rehabilitation
- Coordinate with other organizations to use existing content
- Develop monthly newsletter and review with Director
- Coordinate posting, sending, and archiving of the newsletter
